Cant beat the price

I bought this app to monitor my engine vitals but use it specifically for boost/vacuum and coolant temps. It works great so far but i do run into occasional issues. Im using an elm 327 odb2 wifi adapter which connects to the app great but because im connected through wifi it wont let me play streaming apps such as pandora or netflix. I think its best to use this app with an old phone or an ipad so you dont use your primary phone and lose its functions/capabilities but its worth its price compared to spending 100 bucks on a scanegauge

One of my favorite apps!

For those with BT issues, the issue is NOT THE APP! The issue is either your phone, or your OBDII Adapter. if the iOS device will not pair, the app will not fix it for you! I learned from experience that KIWI devices work best for iOS for OBDII reading. With that said, I like it on every platform I use it on. I have both a KIWI2 and BT Adapter, and use it on my tablet and my 2nd phone (iOS is not my preferred OS). This is the ONE APP I keep an iOS device for since its easier to put my phone in a holder than my non-iOS tablet. Its great for those who like to see more information, and with some digging, you can figure out all the details to get it set up right and be accurate. I reccomend it to all my car nut friends, and they seem to like it, too. Palmer Performance has done an excellent job. My only complaint isnt about this version, but that the non-iOS version on my tablet doesnt have all the same features :) I reccomend it for any DIYer, amateur racer, offroaders, and even those in the weekly racing series out my way. This has proven to be a great all-around app for many vehicular activites.

Lack Data

This app is looking beautiful in design. Its okay to use on most four cylinders engine but lack lots of data on 6+ cylinder engine. For example on 6 cyl eng there are four oxygen sensor broken down into two banks, the app only give data on one bank.. Its okay for newbie who doesnt fix car seriously I guess.

Almost Perfect Car Monitoring

This app does a fantastic job of interfacing with my 2008 BMW 550i and displaying a wide range of engine performance parameters. It is suitable to use for basic tuning. And is great to use for monitoring & data logging. My only complaints are: • After I select the many options I want it to display in real time on the Dashboard windows (options different from the default), when I close the app & reopen it all my custom setup is gone. The app goes back to default parameter display. • The most important performance parameters to watch are scattered across several screens and menus. And not all are "default" displayed when you call a screen up. I love the "Dashboard" feature. I would give this app 5 Stars IF there was one Dashboard window that had all the important parameters displayed together. Such as Air Fuel Ratio (AFR) - which currently is buried as a selection to display (the single most important parameter is not a default display!!!!????!!!!. RPM, Speed, Temp, TPS (% & volts), MAF, MAP and Open Loop or Closed Loop would also be on this Dashboard window. If the code writers of this app would meet with some engine performance tuners, people who do that for a living or love, then Im sure a window for the Dashboard could be in this app that all us users of the app would rave about. Then this app would get 5 Stars and be the best of the car performance apps.

Great DIY app

Nice to have a scanner in the glovebox. A little slow and pretty crowded for a phone but overall great for reading and clearing CEL.

Junk. Plane and simple

First they try to sell you all the best feature of what it can do on YouTube and they needed funding. I just got sucker in and the result I get was frustration. It fail to connect with kiwi3. No matter how many times I try. Waste of money.

Eh ok for beginner

Can only read engine control codes nothing else... No trans temp, air bag, bcm, either

Dont bother with Automatic

Wont display anymore than native Automatic app. Im sure its a good app, but kind of disappointed with number of parameters it monitors with Automatic obd.

Great App

Worked great right away. Was easy to find the PID for expedition transmission fluid temp (TFT). Worked great with ELM327 from Total Car Diagnostics.

Works great but a few bugs - most likely iOS

Love this app. I have it feeding ODB-II data from the Automatic adapter. The only problem Im noticing is the iPhones Bluetooth stack keeps dropping all the connections on 9.3 and Dash Cmd has a tendency to crash to the Springboard after the Bluetooth connection to the Automatic is reestablished. I can reopen Dash Cmd and it starts working again. The crash could be handled a little more gracefully but overall, Dash Cmd is the best app Ive found so far to monitor realtime ODB-II data.

Great overall

I use this in combo with Pioneer AppRadio and overall I love it. Setup was easy and, although there are some annoying glitches, the app is mostly very pleasing and intuitive. My one major complaint is that the app drains the phone battery something fierce. Less egregious but still something Id like to see improved is the App Radio interface.

Worked on 1 of 4 of my cars

Yah, so this only worked on our S10 Volvo from the 1900s. Didnt work on 2005 Toyota Tacoma, or 2013 Toyota Corolla. Also didnt work on 1900s Impala. Dont buy!

Poorly organized, horrible UI

DashCommander reminds me of those 1990s geocities websites complete with spinning GIFs and page counters. The UI is hard navigate...the information is poorly organized....some screens...are just dumps of textual data. I mean...there arent that many odb-II apps, and the other ones...are pretty bad too. But seriously Palmer....do some work in the UI...it really looks like it was a designed by a 13 year old. BTW, does not have a lot of features and didnt register my error codes.

good

nice application

Great value

Ive had the dash command for about 2 weeks and love it. Very easy to use. Gives a lot of information.

Fantastic OBDII App!

I have this app paired with a GoPoint BT1 Bluetooth OBDII reader in my Hyundai Genesis Coupe. It works extremely well on my iPhone 6s Plus. Only complaint is that it wont work in the background, so you will have to close and reopen the app every time you leave it. Otherwise, Im extremely satisfied with it. Boost PSI reads out extremely accurate when compared with my aftermarket gauge. It has a very easy-to-use and functional interface with loads of customizable options. Horsepower and torque may be a little overstated (although it could possibly just be calculated HP from the crank). Would wish to see the app updated to be able to work in the background for iPhones, but otherwise, no real complaints.

Works great!

Been using this with my two vehicles and have been really happy with it. Make sure you use a ELM WiFi OBD2 adapter for iPhone. Just need more how to too videos for the app. That would be nice.

The best odb2 reader

Graeat app!! I

Simple and effective

A must have simple logging tool for a track day or a spirited drive!

You know a five star app when..
