Overall. Pretty disappointed. I use the Kiwi3 OBD with the Moto Z force. I didn't expect it to be perfect because it was over Bluetooth. But seriously didn't expect to have these kind of issues. Especially after paying for the app and getting a good OBD adapter. I wanted a good live feed interface. I do feel like it was pretty much a waste of money because I can get free apps to read codes. Since I did pay for the app. Time to make customers happy you know?
DashCommand - OBD-II Gauges Recenzje App
Programik
Kozak program
Ok
Działa z iPhone 5s bez problemu
Przydatna aplikacja
Przydatna aplikacja, laczy sie bez problemu z samochodami. Wystarczy zwykly interface na Wi-Fi.
Jest ok
Szkoda że nie jest po polsku.
Fantastic
Fantastyczny program z obsługa interfejsu obd2 wifi. W końcu wiem wszystko o moim aucie, łącznie z temp oleju. To ważne jeśli dużo i szybko sie jeździ. Polecam
Świetny program
Przydatne i niezawodne narzędzie. Najważniejsze, że bez problemu radzi sobie z kasowaniem błędów.
Dobry program
Polecam każdemu.
Good App
Robi co ma robić. Dobra aplikacja za dobrą cenę.
Works on my BMW X3 E83 M54
Excellent app for monitoring fuel trims, O2 Sensor V and mA, Fuel rail pressure and so much more. Creating your own custom gauges in <1minute. Playback logged data and export to PC for analysis. The ability to leave it in obd2 port without worrying is a big plus. Others require removal that can drain battery. Support is excellent and responded on same day. I highly recommend this DashCommand.
Am i doing something wrong
Bought this to see hp and torque but its saying my stick 335i is making 700 horsepower? help
ALLOWED ME TO SOLVE WHAT SHOP COULD NOT IN 2 VISITS
App allowed me to diagnose cause of lean air-fuel mixture code on Corolla that my normally excellent shop could not in 2 visits and $175 later. Success required watching some related uTube videos. Found that constructing some gauges was a nice way to monitor and visualize relevant parameters. Would take car for test rides while continuously recording my parameters. Then safely viewing playback of gauges on iPod Touch in my driveway. Amazing number of parameters simultaneously monitored. I had selected 6 to display on gauges on virtual “Dashboard”. The DashCommand app used with my OBD2 hardware plugin ($20 on Amazon) worked like a charm — AMAZING!
DashCommand or CarPlay
Works on my ‘25 Mazda CX-50 but not along with Apple CarPlay. I can understand if they haven’t integrated DC into CarPlay but I have to choose between the two. As in I can’t run CarPlay AND DashCommand simultaneously — choosing one WiFi network cancels the other in Settings. That’s disappointing.
Save this app
Come on a lil update. This app has some many useful features.
Oil pressure
Read it has oil pressure and can’t find it
Wont connect
When I purchased this around 10 years ago it was ok, but over the years has become increasingly harder to connect to the iPhone. I see the OBD Wifi listed, but it never connects to the device.
TPMS
It is very good and has been used since it came out, it needs the revision for the “TPMS” Tire Sensors, which would make it an excellent tool that is one of the most requested.!
Most attempts through Wifi are unsuccessful
Based on recommendations, I purchased this app to pair with a ELM327 using a Wifi. Through three vehicles (BMW, Toyota and Mini) and ten years most, if not all, attempts to pair app with OBDII wirelessly failed to connect. My iPhone picked up the OBDII Wifi connection but the app would not connect. Other apps connected on first attempt. I do not recommend this app, you’ll just waste your time and money.
App doesn’t work
I purchased this app to use for extra gauges that I used to monitor on my accessport but have gone open source. I have had to delete and reinstall the app once to fix the issue of it freezing while using and then freezing on the select your device screen after restarting the app. Now, tonight while using it, it froze, dropped connection, then failed to connect to my dongle. I closed the app and tried to reopen it just to have it freeze on the select your device screen yet again. I’ve used this app three times and two of those times it has failed to work properly. A complete waste of money.
Can't use.
The pop up Select your interface WILL NOT CLOSE. I CAN'T USE THE APP AND I PAID FOR THIS APP.
Most consistent obd logger code reader
I can’t recall how long I’ve used this app. Been at least decade it seems. And has never failed me. Every time I went to use it it did not gar was needed
No Car Play integration?
Been using this app for years. Astounding that it hasn’t been integrated with CarPlay. If that is due to a decision made by this company rather than Apple, that’s pathetic.
Love it
It reads everything
Just Stopped Working
Worked fine a few days ago (with just the usual bugs/annoyances). Then one day it displayed the terms & conditions for me to accept, which was weird (out of nowhere, apparently — no recent app-update I’m aware of). Then it told me to choose my OBD dongle; mine isn’t on the list, but it’s worked okay for the past year or so. I hit “OK” or “Cancel”, either one seemed to work. Then, at various times, the gauge for speed & RPM showed me zeroes, or accurate RPM but zero speed, and “N/A” for other stats (MPG, drive-time, temps, etc). And now the choose-device popup won’t go away no matter what I do. So apparently the app is broken and my $20 is down the drain.
Great App, All the Info you need - Quickly
App works great. Gives the info you need quickly. The only issue is that it sometimes takes a minute to connect to my OBD wireless interface, but I think that is a hardware issue, not the app. Recommend!
Fun tool
It provided useful information but you really have to buy the extra package. It would be helpful if it came with a better tutorial and better screenshots of each dashboard so I knew what to pick. Explanation of what it’s measuring and the meaning. Might help stay ahead of problems.
Needs CarPlay Support
Very nice app and provides a lot of metrics but I took away one star because it’s been out for a while but the developers haven’t added support for CarPlay. This would be perfect if we can monitor the vehicle on the vehicle’s infotainment touch screen instead of having to refer to the iPhone. Please devs! Make it finally happen!
Great product!
This program works ever time i need it.
Love Dash Command!
This app has saved me so much time and money. I love it, so much data to explore!
Been using since 2012, love it.
I have been using this for years now, with a wifi obdII dongle with my iPhone and it’s been great. The parameters are fairly easy to setup, and customize. Code scanning an clearing works like a dream and allows me to do a lot more than I originally could ever do without it. Get a quality compatible obd2 dongle, and your off to the races.
Loses connection when app is minimized
Other apps that use the OBDLink Mx+ have persistent connection when paired with a device. This one drops it as soon as the app is minimized. It will then fail to reconnect, requiring a reset of the adapter to have a successful pairing.
Slow readings on iPad
As of January’23 no improvement on the MAF issue. The app can read it as a code but not on the gauge UI. Update: it works ok on my iPad but now on the iPhone it doesn’t read the MAF, it stays at 0. Either device connects to the same OBD scanner, so it’s not the scanner with the issue. I give it 2 stars because it’s working great on my iPhone but not my iPad . It used to run great on the iPad but now it’s slow with the telemetry even after restarting my device. Additionally the display looks compressed now when in landscape orientation . On my iPad it’s unusable .
Doesn’t work with KiWi4
No longer works at all with Kiwi4. Used to work off and on. It was fiddly and would connect t after several tries or only if you connect right after starting car. Other apps work for example recently installed BimmerLink and connects every time.
No longer works, garbage
I brought a ELM 327. I can connect to the device but your app can’t connect. Protolcol failure on android and iPhone. Years ago it worked on some other ELM device, but that thing stopped working along time ago. Now I got nothing and I just spent $10 to put it on the android device and all I get is OBD-II detecting error OBD-II protocol.
Nice
Nice
Great Tool
I love this tool. I have paid for the full version for 3 different vehicles and it works flawlessly with my iPhone on a WiFi obd 2 reader.
Too buggy
Tried this app for track logs. In current state it’s unusable. Bluetooth connection gets lost, screens freeze, recording fails, config options fail save. Don’t recommend it. For it’s $10 + $10 for vendor specific data it looks more like a scam
Not honor original purchase
I bought this app many years ago it was either $50 or $100. Now I have to buy addons which use to be apart of the app.
Ipad Update
After updating to ios 15, the app will not connect on ipad.
Dashcommand
This application does not work at all with my iphone. It will not connect to the car computer neither using wifi nor bluetooth. Save your time and get one with good reviews. Even the free ones work much better. I will try to get a refund. This one is useless
Don’t buy
Waste of money. Doesn’t connect to WiFi and no support
Only works with a limited set of OBD-II devices.
I got a new Bluetooth ODB-II device only to find out that Dash Command only works with one different brand of Bluetooth device. I like the software but it appears that the hardware support needs to be broadened.
Do not purchase
Yea, it looks good but it starts and stops there. I paid 10 bucks so I could only read my rpm’s? I have to learn after the fact I have to spend even MORE money to read the rest of my PIDs? Ripoff.
Okay
Okay app. Works for a short period of time until it crashes and can’t be used at the opening of the screen. Takes uninstall and reinstall to fix momentarily until it stops working 4 or 5 uses later. Would like this to be fixed otherwise I won’t be able to use it anymore :(
Good for resetting P0420
I have an iPhone and you have to use a wifi ELM327 instead of a Bluetooth like the android users can. Connect to the ELM327 and reset that baby.
Poor customer service
Reached out to Palmer performance / dash command about a specific PID related to my repair and was assured I would be able to get the reading via a windows download (40$) and a add on package (100$) as you may suspect, I was not able to get the reading. Reached out to doug there (who assured it was part of the package) and have been met with zero help. Looking here on the app I can see the same PID available for purchase for a total of 20$… I bought a Bluetooth Obd2 and wouldn’t you know- won’t connect to my app. Have reached out 3 times now in regards to that and gotten 0 response. Torque pro runs much smoother, is far more customizable and I was actually able to talk to someone before & after the repair.
Best code reader app
I love this app! Well worth the money. I love being able to log data. This app does so much. Way more than a code reader.
Doesn’t fit me
I can’t get the app to connect to a Veep obd2 ble+. It try’s to connect then times out. No way to try to connect it. App looks great but won’t work with this obd2 reader
Not working with ELM 327
It is supposed to work with ELM 327 but will not connect.
In general
I do lots of work on cars and trucks this app seems to make things much easier for diagnosing problems. Codes and all kinds of goodies.
Great App
I got this just to read and clear error codes …. The real time data is a huge plus
Waist of 9.99
Found the app by scanning barcode on back of scan tool after paying 9.99 inputing my personal info Would not connect . Had to give at lest one star to submit review
Stopped working
I used to love this app but it stopped connecting to my vehicle. Other competitors app connect no problem. What happened!?
$60 to read my vehicles codes
Now charges to read diagnostic codes. $10 per make of vehicle. I can buy a premium reader for the price of all the vehicle makes we have…
Not working as well as a free app
I have a Honda Fit/Jazz and I first bought DashCmd. When I had problems getting fuel data (sometimes working sometimes not) I tried a free app. The free app had more or less all the same functions.
Garbage
For 10$ I expect at least matched functionality of the app I got with my adapter. It’s missing a huge number of PID’s which can be gathered from a scan, in an effort to make gauges pretty they don’t function when they are changed from one type to another, all I was looking for was a quickly updating dashboard where I can monitor things which are not in my gauge cluster.
Lots of features, good detail.
I have save me lots of money diagnosing problems.
Never connects!
So sick of sweating in the car or truck and this app never links up with iPhone!!!! Horrible
